Jared had full lips that weren’t too soft, but they were firm and demanding. His tongue caressed and teased the seam of her mouth. She shivered when he pulled her body into his; the heat from him wrapping around her like a blanket. He slid his hands up her arms and then down her sides. She kept her lips sealed, but with his persistence and his hands starting to roam her body, she didn’t know how long she would be able to last.
He growled, “Open for me, beautiful.”
Lily caved and did what they both wanted, opening her mouth for his invasion. Her arms lifted of their own accord to wrap around his neck. It was like a light had suddenly turned on inside of her and she was feeling dizzy from the brightness. She clung to him, to the warmth, and she sought a balance. She wanted desperately to wrap her legs around him and cling to him like a monkey to a tree.
The spinning increased when he lifted her up, moving them until her back hit the wall. He was so strong, and he held her like she weighed nothing. The neat bun her hair had been in, loosened, and long dark strands cascaded down her shoulders. His fingers were caressing her and using the strands to hold her so he could deepen the kiss.
Jared didn’t just kiss her, he made love to her mouth until she was completely and utterly breathless. No one had ever kissed her like it was the only thing in the world they wanted to do.

This is the third installment of the Earth Evolution Series and we finally get Jared and Lily's story. This series takes place in a distant future after the people of Earth have destroyed the planet with nuclear war. A small select group were able to take refuge in "Earth Domes" but the rest of the population was forced to find shelter wherever they could or die trying.Jared's and Lily's attraction is obvious but they've been holding themselves back. Finally, in this book, the levy breaks and we are thrust into an intense love affair between these two. Add in an adorable kid, a feisty grandmother type, and two delusional ex-lovers and this was a nice and exciting read.
While I did enjoy this story and our two main characters, there were some issues here and there. I completely understand why the Drastan's manner of speaking may be choppy and straight-forward since they are learning English, but sometimes this tone was used by the humans as well. It unfortunately made the writing seem a little juvenile at times. And I did notice some spelling and grammatical errors as well.
Overall, it was a nice, easy read with that happy ending I Iove so much. There are 6 books in this series so far and I'll definitely be adding the rest to my tbr list.

Atonement Earth Evolution Series Book 3 eBook KD Jones Reviews
I enjoy reading K.D. Jones but have noticed that her books are gaining a bit in spelling and grammatical errors which can on occasion detract from a good story, it is frustrating but won't stop me from reading more of her books. Apart from that small gripe I enjoyed Atonement very much and hope there are more in this series to come.
I enjoy these series, the characters, are relatable. Several humorous scenes, can't wait to read the next one! Read 1 and 2
I love KD Jones books and this series is very good. I loved the character and storey line. A very entertaining book.. I cannot wait for more to read.
This book was good. I like that I have similar feelings of the characters although I can only hope to be as strong in a trying situation. Lilly is a strong mother and A good friend. I like her strong and loving personality. I like that she stood up for herself. It shows how people can grow stronger in extinuating circumstances. Lilly and Jared had good chemistry and I love that the book showed the relationship between Thomas and Jared.
Earth is messed up from Nukes and the Drastan's are here to help this is the third brothers story... Jared Estro is a Dr and helping Earth with healing the people who took shelter in the subways.... Lily Tyner and her son Thomas are now helping her people and also back and forth on the Drastan ship... This is such great action would so be a great sifi T.V. show a great read need more you will love this book I did
Jared is tough and sweet. It was nice to see the family healing. They have needed it for so long. Lily is a very special person she survived with a small child in the worst of times. She built a home and family from nothing. She is strong. Jared worried me for a minute. But he came through. Great series. Great story.
Great Series! Loved Jared and Lily's story. Jared is the oldest of the Estros's brothers, and quite a bit older than his siblings. He is a respected healer and has become very fond of his new sisters-in-law. Maggie especially, she has brought his family closer together. Jared has been fighting his growing attraction to Maggie's best friend Lily, who has been training under him. Lily was a nursing student married to a Air Force pilot with an infant son when the disaster happened. While she loved her husband and knows he is likely dead, she fights her attraction to Jared, even though her son adores him and Jared seem to be fond of him as well. Her son Tommy comes first. Meddling friends and family along with an OK from Tommy bring them together. Trouble with the resistance, a spiteful casual x girlfriend and a rumor that Lily's husband is still alive is testing Jared and Lily's new found love. The newest Estros joins the family when Maggie and Liam's baby is born. A fun and steamy story. Can't wait for the next story, will it be Cory and Lt Sabor, Cousin Quinn and 'Little Squirrel" or will it be Commander Estros and Tribe Leader Heather Bates.
