This was my first Virginia Wade book. I'm not sure what her other books are like though I have an inkling from the titles, but I absolutely adored this book. It was very different from what's out there so that immediately drew me. I'm a big Spartacus fan & the book reminded me of the show in a lot of ways. I got a very good picture of the world. It was very interesting I loved the characters. I'm normally not a big first-person POV fan but with this book it didn't bother me in the least. It was very hot in a lot of different ways but that also kept my interest. I can only hope that Ms. Wade has other books in this genre it was awesome! Everyone should check it out! The book was okay. A bit short and didn't feel like there was much of a story except for lots of sex
Not only is this book sizzling hot with great sex scenes but the detail is amazing. You can tell Mrs. Wade really did her homework with this book. Who knew you could also learn something while reading smut. It has a great story to tell and you really get attached to the characters. Virginia Wade never dissapoints.
The book was sent to my kindle without any problem and is an excellent read. The author use of words was very graffic and allows the reader to experinces the sensation of the story line. The author depicks how Rome was during its highest point of there history.
Virginia never disappoints me! This story is smart and clever and...HOT! I thought the characters were great! I don't want to give any spoilers, but if you like erotica/romance, you will not be sorry you bought this one! Another excellent story from one of my fave writers ever! Great Job!
Having read many of the authors works, I purchased this with no hesitation. And again, I was a thoroughly satisfied customer. She mixed realism of the time period including many accurate facts and details with a plethora of debauchery.. There are mixed pairings all over the place. Voyeurism, orgies, female exclusives, PLENTY of sexy gladiators, and a happy ending to boot!
